Yahoo applies SSL security protocol

Yahoo has announced it will apply the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security protocol for its mail service, starting in January.
According to CNET, from 8.1.2014, users accessing the Yahoo Mail service will be transferred to the SSL protocol (http will add the letter s to the web address to https: //), help E-mail browsing of the user becomes more secure.

It is known that SSL is a global technology security standard that creates an encrypted link between the web server and the browser. This link ensures that all data exchanged between the web server and the browser is secure.
The use of the SSL protocol is considered quite late, as other technology companies have been using this protocol for quite some time.
For example, Google has applied for the Gmail service and Microsoft applied for the Hotmail service (now Outlook.com) in 2010. Facebook also provided similar features in July 2011 and Twitter in August.
